What are some advantages of using a Car Cover?

The great outdoors is very inviting to some people, whereas, it can be very harmful to your vehicle's exterior and interior finish. A car (vehicle) cover helps to maintain your vehicle's precious shine, while keeping it feeling and looking new. Some advantages of using a car cover are keeping harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays from damaging and discoloring your vehicle's interior and exterior, helps prevent dirt and dust from penetrating the vehicle's paint, and the hard to wash cracks and crevices. Covers help maintain the "just washed" look between washes, prevent scratches, dings, and people's prying eyes. Car covers will also help keep birds, animals, and small tree debris from leaving their dents and marks on your vehicle's finish. Your parking garage, barn or storage facility can be busy with foot traffic and can also get very dusty as well. Car Covers will help keep your investment looking good indoors and out.

I am just leasing my vehicle or I buy a new vehicle every three to four years.... do I need a car cover?

It has become increasingly popular for people to lease their vehicles. A lot of us also like to buy new cars every three to four years. Keep the resale value of your vehicle at top dollar by making a small investment in a cover for your vehicle. Can a car cover help prevent my vehicle from being stolen?

Yes it certainly can. A thief wants to get into your vehicle, start it, and drive off as quickly as possible. As soon as a thief starts to make an entry, they are exposed. A waterproof car cover takes a few minutes to remove, so the thief's exposure time is increased. With so many cars uncovered, why would a thief want to increase the risk of being caught? A cover also helps protect the contents of a vehicle. When radios and other items are out of sight they are less likely to tempt a thief.

How can I prevent my car cover from being stolen?

The lock and cable accessory kit will certainly help. You should also put your name on the front of the cover. The name works better than the license number. The instruction sheet gives details on the correct way to mark the cover.

Are there tie-downs, straps or elastic to keep the car cover secure and in place?

Cable and lock kits are available to help keep the car cover in place, but these also help prevent someone from walking away with your cover. Car covers have areas just below the driver's and passenger's door that is reinforced with double ply fabric and grommets are installed for use with tie downs (i.e. cable lock kits and bungee cords). Car covers have elastic along the bottom of the cover that runs the length of the front and rear bumpers, resembling a bed sheet. The area along the bottom of the cover is tapered, like the bottom of your pants or jeans.
In high wind situations or open areas custom covers with mirror pockets have a benefit when it comes to keeping the cover in place. The pockets act like anchors helping to ensure proper installation, as well as, help to keep the car cover in place.

Will a car cover help keep people and pets from damaging my vehicle's finish?

Most car car covers will definitely increase the chances of avoiding unsightly dings, scratches, while pampering your vehicle's finish. If you have a feline that likes to nest on your vehicle while it is parked you might want to check with your local pet store. This might be helpful to spray on your cover to deter that cat, dog, and other animal from making your vehicle and cover a home.

What is Ultrasonic welding?

A high end technology that connects two pieces of fabric without stitching or needle holes. It's a very important feature to protect against acid rain, dust, tree saps, bird droppings and any sources of natural or industrial pollutants. A single line of ultrasonic welded seam provides same durability of normal double stitching. Our cover comes with a triple Ultrasonic seam.

Is there a correct way to install a car cover?

In general, always cover the front and rear bumpers as the last step. If the cover has mirror pockets, place the pockets over the mirrors first. If you have an old vehicle you should cover the roof and windows first, and then the front and rear of the vehicle. On some coupes and roadsters made prior to 1932, you might be unable to install the car cover at all if you start with the front or the rear bumper. What is the best way to remove and fold my car cover?

You do not want to drag or pull your car cover to remove it. Bring all four sides of the cover to the roof area in two-foot increments. Then refold the cover in two to three foot increments. After you perform this a few times you will develop a good system. By folding the cover properly it will make installation much easier.
Note - Do not fold the cover on the ground or on a dirty work bench, as you might pickup lose dirt and such, which could damage your vehicle's finish.

Storing my car cover?

All our Car Covers come with a FREE STORAGE BAG. Storage bags are available and are definitely recommended for storing your new cover. The bag will protect your cover from dirty, dusty, damp areas and will promote safekeeping. Storing the cover in a folded-up fashion (not in a fabric ball) will help expedite installation and will also free up much needed space, whether it be in the trunk or your garage shelf. A little time saved in the proper storage of the cover will save time in the long run.

What is the under body strap?

It's a built-in strap that is attached on each side of car cover. You can run a longer strap to the other under the body of your car and connect them together using a given set of buckles. It will provide 2x reliable security and help to withstand against severe wind and storm when you use it with a cable lock.

I have unretractable antenna, how can you cover handle it?

An antenna patch is included with most covers for antennas that are not retractable or flexible.

-Simply cover your vehicle and mark where the antenna hits the cover.
-Apply the adhesive-backed patch to that spot, and punch a hole in the center of the patch after the patch is applied.

Does your car cover have grommet holes?

Yes, our cover is equipped with grommet holes on both sides of the cover. You can use these holes to tie or lock down your cover. (Cable lock not included and can be purchase for 24.99$).
